If you are set on going red I would go for a slightly different red, to be different yet subtle. I would consider candy red personally. That's just my opinion though. As ding said it's your car so up to you, all we can do is suggest ideas.

Is easy to touch up for any minor cosmetic repairs you do... and it's then a consistent basecoat for a shiny red if you change your mind. I was going to red oxide 1 car, then lacquer it with some green pearl, just to be different!?

Expert Posts: 4458 Location: Jelling, Denmark | I would paint the patches in the correct shade of red. Last time i cleaned a set of seat belts i used a normal soap based interior cleaner that you rub and remove with a moist cloth and then leave them to dry and that turned out ok
