Could swap to a dimmer bulb or add a layer or 2 of a tinted vinyl...
or fit a variable / switchable resistor so you can dim all dash lights...
either with a knob, or so it dims automatically when main beam comes on!?
Decided my best bet was having the 5 clocks back-lighting bulbs turn off with main beam...
leaving just 2 red bulbs on the face... but mines a Mk2 so very different.
Do you know what bulb is in your switch? Standard switch??

yeah the mk2 has many more places to place extra buttons no I dont know which bulb in in the switch, but it the one I use for racing so never use the lights any more, so not really a problem unless I start racing at night

but its a great idea to have most of the lights turn off when on main beam. haven't thought about that
