Love the GTi van!

Also, I think the 5dr saloon would be better if it had standard 5dr doors and rear quarter window? I doubt Rover would want to make extra parts if they could utilise existing ones?

Like them tho!

Couldn't use the rear side glass without moving rear window back.
Would have quite a large rear shelf for a saloon then...
and a smaller boot opening!

Doors on the saloon are the same as hatch though.

Very good.

And I can say I have the pickup in realy life

btw, you should edit the 4 door version so the side skirts join line in matched to the door as per 3 door or one peice as I have seen before on a 5 door Si with GTi kit on

Yeah I'm loving the estate and van version myself!
Whole thing started as curiosity about building a saloon project...
but the estates won me over... NEED to own one!!

There's a hint in the saloon, but the estate is very Montego-esque I agree!!
From that side-on angle it does share family traits!

The baby Montego look a like estate is smart as hell. Think the pickup would look better with 4 door front doors and a longer back, for some reason (less space in the cab means more for the bed?) pickups always seem to use the shorter doors

Know what you're saying...
but if you look where the seats are in relation to the 'B' pillars on 3 and 5 doors,
you wouldn't actually gain any bed space without reducing seat adjustment a lot!?

The 3dr route makes for a nice straight 'B' post/pillar, nice and easy to reinforce.
Probably an easier (lazier) conversion, which sounds about right for 90's Rover!?!
