Took the engine out today and cleaned the engine bay out

R65U wants to be changed to a PG1 with torsen, but as yet havent found one. Should have the front back to metal soon clean up the crap welding and get it sprayed so i can fit the engine

Need to change the SPI tank fuel pump to the VVC one i took out the tro, feed some pipes front to back and hook up the front brakes before the engine fitting

Going to take the 185 55 13 Toyo road pros off the GTA wheels and fit them to my MPI's for the metro

Need ideas on what wheels to fit so it doesnt look like a mini on metro wheels. Will run 175 50 13's too

steelies purchased from the magic shed in Andover, known as Itsonlyme with 185 55 13 dunlops......185 55 13's roadpros from the cross spokes going on my tro handled so so much better on the 55 profile

All i need now is a PG1 from a 620 TI with a type B, freelander flywheel and we are go for engine install.....once cheeky scott has got the front sorted

Minis love the ponys, vvc motor will be sweet in one, space up front is limmited, so turbos are a pain to squeeze in but can be done

Few things changed, i bought a PG1 with a torsen diff so going to change out the R65U as the car will be tracked and looking at 1/4 mile times the diff cars are 0.5 quicker in the late 13s

Also removed the cross spoke alloys and stole the near new Toyo Roadpro 185 55 13s and put them on the metro

So had to fit my Avon ZZRs which look ok, my mate says it looks like a mini on a metro chassis but will collect steelies from Tony Itsonlyme on thursday, along with MGF Calipers, carriers, 160 6 bolt manifold and MGF shafts for the PG1. I have some spare discs and pads (chocolate green stuff) for the time being

Spacers on the back look er fooking big

Subframe is new with braided lines for the brakes adjustable spax too

Them spacers look like they destroy wheel bearings! You can get some that in behind the stub axle but i can't remember where

a mates vvc mini on mini wheels... and again on metro wheels..

Not sure on what you're planning with this build but surely its worth looking into making Mini PCD wheels fit?

Glad you read the thread !

Car will have wide steelies and 175 50 13s, mpi alloys are just on as a temp measure

Why do the mini boys have kittens when you mention metro wheels

Few things have happened since last thread, got some wide steelies and vented discs, pads (ebc green chocolate) and calipers from the magic shed known as its only me. Need some spaces for the front wheels though as they do touch....

And Cheeky Scott has done a little welding, on the scuttle panel and filled in the holes on the bulkhead

Have a C6BST with type b and an unknown K series PG1 with new bearings on its way to Matt P for refurb, so will be going PG1

Oh well looks like a trip to Santa Pod and being beaten by Sean has made me realise my mini needs a turbo !

So we have bought a 75 Turbo with a blown head gasket, will be getting the help of the ever helpful itsonlyme to strip the engine have a loom and ecu from Dazz and Sean and will be shooting for the same 200bhp

K7 box from the Metro will be used, as mini has much smaller tyres and will have a type A diff from the 820 turbo box i just bought !

Will get pics up soon

1.8 goes in no problems so only issue is the turbo, which can be made to fit

Have no idea on intercooling, looking at std 75 turbo intercooler but will see what we can do

Only 200bhp (at the moment as may forged and for 250bhp) so possibly the std 75 or 220 turbo......will get something to fit once we decide on how to fit everything........

Not much has been done as manic busy at work but collected the 75 1.8 Turbo which is now at itsonlyme's having the HGF fixed

Should have the engine soon, can then bolt it in and have a Zandf remapped ecu and loom from Dazz and Sean to fit so should be close to the 200bhp mark once the 2 1/4" exhaust has been made

Also had a new pedal made to go around the steering column

Had a K7 gearbox made up by Matt Parker with a Type B that needs to be collected and will be using the metro flywheel and 220 turbo clutch

Also got some 175 50 13 A539 yokos for £150 which are basically brand new......
