turbo engine is in the R100 and although I have MGF rads it seems that it will only fit if I cut the crossmember which is to me a very last resort, I have researched probably hundreds of possible radiators and not found a possible, do I need to go for a purpose made rad ?

Mod the lower panel would be easiest option, its not structural as the subframe braces this area when bolted up

sorry if this is a dumb question, can a intercooler be used as a radiator ?, reducing the inlet/outlet is not a problem

I think surface area is more important then how thick the rad is. my mgf rad is only 10mm thick. I did use a talon twin core rad for my turbo conversion at first which was around 2" thick and similar size to standard metro rad in surface area, but it didn't cool as good as the mgf rad
