Kinda.. Got a solid bare R100 shell which I was keeping to cut bits off to weld the GTi up, but after all the rot I'll be there for years sorting it out. So may just say fook it and weigh both shells in and buy something else non metro

I might use the R100 shell, just cant really be arsed to put everything back together. Got so much other shit to do, and still need to do a shit load of work around the house. New bathroom, finish plastering etc.. But IF I do decide to do it, it wont be for months yet. I'll think it over the next week or so..

Fatmandan swapped his GTi because it was too quick for him, and it failed it's M.O.T on a little welding. The knob is cruising in a hair dressers car which is full of pasty and crisp packets. Shitty MX5. But suits the queer.

And if I do get rid of them, I cant be arsed selling bit's. To much hassle wrapping bit's then posting them. People bitch about the price postage costs..

The M.O.T ran out in april, but took it off the road the start of March. It'll be back on the road in the new year. Going to get stuck in this weekend

April?

You're joking? I scrapped a shell that had never been welded the other week, granted yours may have never been welded but it certainly should've been! You been slipping it to the local MOT tester for years?

Nope. April the 27th iirc. You can see a few plates where a guy I know welded it. But done a pretty shit job, and looks as if he just welded it without cutting out the rot. Pulled/hit out a couple of plates after they rusted around where it was welded.

I can weld pretty good myself now after doing work on other peoples cars, so I reckon if I take my time, and use my head I could probably get this sorted and back out on the road

Fuck! That's 1 rusty GTi!

Have you seen Morey's grey GTa, that was stupidly rusty for a sub 30k car and it's nearly back on the road.

Crack on mate, crack on

Wow! Rusty. Reminds me of my old Alfasud. One day I opened the bonnet and it toppled off the car taking the front section, grille and headlights with it hitting the floor with a rusty Italian clatter. I've owned many cars but none as rusty and crusty as the Alfasud - very fast though!

It's a R100 solid shell, the GTi shell and all the GTi bits. People can bitch all they want, I don't give a fook. The one that get in a strop are the one's that don't or want to save one or buy bits from one so fook them
