Elite Veteran Posts: 925 Location: Thinking of vvc'ing my Roadster Brabus :-) | Ive decided to sell my 300BHP 1.8 20vt Audi TT engine conversion, and maybe do another conversion completely different. Car: 1995 Rover Kensington, std body, rear arches replaced and edges rolled back to accept 15" wheels, rear turrets, Safety Devices full bolt in Rollcage minus doorbars. Engine: Audi block, forged crank (std/std), steel rods, Wiseco forged pistons (82mm), all balanced, new big port cyl head, one piece Racetech steel valves, new cams and followers/end chain and tensioner, all new gaskets and seals where necessary, baffled and gated sump, Audi TT exhaust manifold and K04 turbo, 3" stainless exhaust system with 3 silencers (trackday db checks 84-85db). Gearbox: Rover PG1 uprate box with steel caged bearings and Gripper diff, Reyland adapter plate kit with steel flywheel, 228mm Paddle clutch, hydraulic actuation, equal length driveshafts. Fuel system: 43ltr tank with internal swirlpot, pump and venturis, filler is from std cap with flourolined (fuel proof) hoses, 525cc injectors, 3bar map sensor, semi-sequential injection, Omex 600 ecu controlling fuel, ign, idle, cooling fans, gear change light, etc. Suspension: Solid mounted powdercoated lightened rear subframe with AVO alloy bodied coilovers and ARB. Solid mounted MGTF powdercoated front frame with AVO coilovers and ARB. Geometry is set up for Camber, Caster, Toe, Bumpsteer, Offset, Rear Camber, Toe, Setback, and Thrust angle. Brakes: Aeroquipped hoses, Front Brembo grooved discs and 1166 pads, std rear drums and shoes. Interior: Cobra Suzuka 'S' seats, Snap-Off Steering wheel, Fire extinguisher, Master switch, Flocked dash with Oil temp, Pressure, Boost pressure, Fuel pressure, Wideband AFR, low oil pressure alarm, Gearchange light, Cooling Fan Override switch, Fuelpump Switch. Car wieghs in at around 850kg, engine is 'limited' to @ 300bhp due to the restriction of the Audi TT exhaust manifold and turbo, there would be more power to be had if the bulkhead is altered to fit a bigger manifold and turbo. This package comes with spare Willans harnesses, spare small-port cylinder head which gives even more lowdown torque, 5x spare MPi wheels with Dunlop SP Sport tyres, 2 pairs of front springs 625lb/in and 650lb/in. Also a Dell Laptop with Omex software with maps and connection lead. Engine has done 2800 miles since build, inc running in, dyno, and a few trackdays, I've built the car to try and keep it looking as std as possible, more fun on trackdays!!. Offers around £5500. Member Posts: 62 | If only I had a spare 5k lol I'd only take it to bits though, is it running the standard metro hubs? Also have you made your own engine and gearbox mounts? Was the pg1 adapter plate custom made, how have you managed to get the shafts the same length? Please let me know if you end up breaking it or anything. I can't afford the whole car but I'm also using a TF frame in my build so would be very interested in the front suspention, maybe even the engine and box / mounts but I'm not sure there would be enough room in the Allegro, the K series only just fits in the front area. Another free bump!

Elite Veteran Posts: 925 Location: Thinking of vvc'ing my Roadster Brabus :-) | I'm not breaking it. It runs metro/MGF/TF hubs, equal length driveshafts are MGF/Tf LH shaft, MGZS RH jackshaft from box to bearing, then bespoke to cv. Read the spec for adapter plate etc.
