Hi all,

After removing the rub strips from my 114GSI years ago I know it is a laborious task to get rid of that final residue stuck on the paint, that's if you havn't already scratched the hell out of it trying to remove it with a credit card or ice scraper like I've seen some people do!

A friend from Holland came over a while ago and introduced me to an awesome tool. It's called a 'Caramel wheel' and sits on the end of your drill, you can then use it to remove pretty much anything without damaging your paint work at all. I whizzed around the car and did both sides in around 5 minutes. He works for Opel and it's what they use for all of their cars that come in with stickers etc.

So next time you know you have a job like this I'd totally recommend investing a few quid and getting one of these awesome time saving tools. Best of all, they even smell nice!
