I heard somewhere that the mk4 used the same steering fitment as honda, upon buying a boss kit it wouldnt fit, can anyone link me a boss kit that will? thanks

Oh I thought they were supposed to fit what model Honda one did you buy? and an mgf boss should fit if they do them.

I also found out the hard way that the Honda boss doesn't fit.

Well it fits with modification. It needs 10mm cutting off the bottom and new slots cutting for the indicator ring but thats far from ideal.

I was pretty pissed to find out it wasn't a direct fit. Especially when when every time boss kits were mentioned on the Facebook page the same advice was given to "buy the Honda one, it's only £8". It's scarey to think that some people may have that boss fitted without modifying it. The nut holding it on will be on about 2 threads and the boss would be extremely loose on the splines to an extent where it could easily slip.

Don't buy the Honda boss. Do it right and get mgf, 25, zr, etc.
