Is the standard clutch and flywheel from the 1.1 r100 man enough for the 143 vvc conversion?

I wouldn't use it. Go with a 1.6 flywheel and 200 mm clutch. If not only for peace of mind. You don't want to be changing the clutch every year.

Or even better use the correct box for the engine and go pg1.

Crawl back in your coal mine and finish that pot noodle! You just never ran one with the right ratios and final drive.

Pg1 is far suoerior! I'm sure I'd have blown 5 r65s by now if I was still running one. And you can't get cheap diff like you can with pg1.

Just finished my pot noodle, and thought id say I've tried a few PG1 ratio's. B6BST, C4 C6.. Granted it maybe the stronger box, but accelerates nothing like a R65 does. But maybe I didn't build a vvc tro to go slow like you have.

If you want good acceleration go R65 with a 1.6 flywheel and 200mm clutch, and if you want to slow the car down go PG1

Bet it only felt slower cos you kept spinning those camacs up.
I reckon with a lightened flywheel itl be on par with an r65. I've never felt the real need for one though.

Go pg1 for reliability, choice of ratios, crisp gear change and torsen.

Cant use a 1.1 flywheel as it only takes a 180mm clutch plate,
1.4 will take a 190mm or the better 200mm 1.6 clutch kit,
MGRover commonised the 1.4 1nd the 1.6 clutch kits as the 1.1 was discontinued
at the same time as the 8v engine.
