Veteran Posts: 335 Location: York, tis Cold Up North! | Well heres a few I've had on a R100 - same fit as '93 model 5.5J x 13 SPI's and MPi's - 155 x 65 x 13, 165 x 55 x 13, 175 x 50 x13, 185 x 55 x 13 without any problems. 14" wheels like Team Dynaics Motorsport Wheels also fit with 175 x 60 x 14 no problem and any up to 195 x 45 x 14 fit 195/50/15 will probably need the arches rolling and offest will need to be thought about. Having read and talked to many folk on here I am told that 175 x 60 x 13 is a good all rounder but everyone to their own I suppose. MG

Member Posts: 38 Location: Sheffield | Looking at all the wheels im wondering about tyres now, as the cost is looking at being about the same as I paid for the whole car, was wondering how much tyres were. SO what size tyres will I need for the Metro GTI wheels? Also what size for the 6 spoke GTA wheel? Thanks again, James.

Veteran Posts: 335 Location: York, tis Cold Up North! | Hi Know what you mean about cost of Tyres versus cost of the Car but not an area to skimp upon as the tyres are important if you value your life and that of any passengers? So on all my 13" I put 175/60/13 Yokohama A539 or Toyo CF-1 Proxies. Both hold road like sticky sh*t MG

Member Posts: 38 Location: Sheffield | Hhahahaha, yep agree completely with good tyres, that's one of the things that's prompted the wheel change, my steelies are horrible, but the tyres are cheep rubbish and have gone cracked and hard with age! This makes for alot of scary moments. Also in my classic mini, when i first got it I had some cheep...ish Dunlop tyres, car handled a bit rubbish for a mini, put the Yokos on it, What a difference!! like its on rails. So yea, ill be going for the best.

Member Posts: 38 Location: Sheffield | After a few months of promises to deliver the wheels, the guy who I was buying some off has just sold them to a breaker along with the rest of his car, very annoying, but that how it goes sometimes. So, Anyone else got some GTI wheels for sale, email me james1995newsam@gmail.com ASAP thanks.
