As the search is misbehaving. Rover 100 1.8 solid on standard 13" mpi alloys and spacers over mg calipers. Are 14" a direct fit ? Do they not rub on the rear radius arm ? What are my options ?
Thanks to the few remaining soles !

I believe you need 195/45 tyres to fit 14's without rubbing

That's slim. I understand you can grind a few mil off of the arms. Does this change the options ?

At some point I'm going to try a 185/55/14, I'll let you know how much cutting it needs!

I run 195/45/14 and they don't hit the arms or sub frame, hence no need to grind, however they do run on the arches sometimes.
