Member Posts: 70 | Cheers! I need a car no more than 1400cc (and must be normally aspirated) to take racing. To the best of my knowledge the 1.4 MPi K-Series is just about the most powerful engine I'm going to get in that category, plus should be quite tuneable. And the Metro the smallest, lightest and most suitable car that it comes in!

Member Posts: 70 | Yes I have, they're just about the only other good option, but they and other 106's are pretty common on the hillclimb and sprinting circuit, club rallying etc. I'd rather be a bit different. Plus I think I could get more power out of a K-Series. But yes a Rallye would be the second choice.

Expert Posts: 11052 Location: Wolverhampton | Fair play I cant argue with that. I reckon a well modified 1.3 tu would see 140bhp on bodies with a big cam, but then modifying the K-series for similar power would more likely be cheaper

Member Posts: 70 | That photo is from a while ago, but all I had on the PC. Shell is now on an NBN Tilter having the running gear fitted, still refurbishing some bits and pieces. Engine is built and on an engine stand, just getting dressed up and a few little top end additions.

Member Posts: 70 | The GTi was nice, very raw car. I do have an Alfa Romeo, it says above, but didn't have any pics to hand. It's a 1998 GTV 3.0 24v V6 Lusso. Had it about 12 months now and is the only Alfa I've had to date. May be up for sale shortly.
