here is my rover metro 1.1 ascot, I payed 400 for her (TRUDY) all the arches are mint but not painted properly, has 80k on and drives like new, need a few little bits like a drivers door and a mirror handle,

first plans are to play around with interior until it gets warmer,
going to be stripped bare and then ill decide what I want to do, saw someone drill holes in his dash and thought I would copy him sorry but it looks good to me,
going to be little different but ill leave that as a surprise.

eventually will be a vvc so may just have front seats and a roll cage.

just ordered citroen ax centre console and going to scrappy to see a metro about her interior as mine is shocking

top tip, buy a welder when you buy a metro, the reason will reveal itself when you strip out all the interior to fit your cage, the inevitable tin worm will show its repulsing head

Those look like my old seats I modified to fit into my convertible, if so the rears won't fit a saloon but I'm sure somebody would buy them as it was quite a nice job!

What became of it?

I would perhaps sell the rear seats to someone with a cabby- I'm sure they would pay good money tbh!

custom cages, safety devices ect. imo cage you need god buckets and harnesses for safety, 3point lap belts and stock seats are not up to the job, roll a metro you die, roll a metro with cage shit seats your a vegetable but this is personal opinion.

either all out or nothing really. remember roll-cages require spreader plates which require welding on.
