They need a car for a TV Programme called About Thomas - A true story about an Autistic kid growing up.
The programme is set in 1992 and in the story the young lad is given his first car by his Grandma - and it's a metro
To make it realistic the metro wouldn't be a brand new J/K plater it would be around a mid 80's model so preferably a Mk2 model although Mk1s will be ok aswell. The car doesn't have to be mint as it would be about 7-8 yrs old at the time but something that's in good clean and tidy standard in typical 'Granny condition'.
Obviously as this car is supposed to have been owned by a granny it rules out haevily modded or sports models although if they are desperate they'll use an MG or Turbo.
Filming will be taking place at the end of this month I think and will run for 8 weeks, the car may not be needed for this whole preiod. Filming is taking place in Kent but the car can be collected from anywhere on a transporter from your home and replaced with a courtesy car etc.
The metro used will be fully insured and treated well and isn't going to get damaged, blown up in any action sequences.
They are happy to pay £70-£80 per day plus you'll have the novelty factor of getting your car on the TV.
As a starting point they need some pictures of suitable Metros, so post a couple of DECENT front and rear 3/4 photo of your car in this thread and i'll pass them on to Steve.
So all you A series people, this is your car's chance to be famous and earn you some cash!!
Oh he's also looking for a nice Peugeot 205 GTi to use aswell - Sacha - haven't you just got one? |
