Hello folks,
I'm considering converting to a BRM PG1 gearbox. Has anyone got any photo's of a metro subframe that's been modified with the mounts that suit PG1 box?

or failing that, any pics of these mounts on the normal Subframe (mgf, 200, etc)?

If you want to stay with the exsisting subframe then you need to get the gearbox mount arm from themgf subframe to bolt in and then cut off the engine sump mount off of the MGF subframe and weld this onto the Metro one, but you need to make sure that you get this in the correct place otherwise you will get excess strain on all of the other mounts and twist the engine/box out of its true alignment and cos damage/wear to various parts when contacting the body etc. I do have pictures of both subframes but can only find this one at the mo and it is the MGF subframe that I helped fit into Jim's VVC GTiSE, you can see the sump mount on the frame in the back corner of the frame.

You can buy an adjustable bottom engine mount which may be better if you are converting the metro subframe:

Still need to weld the actual mount onto the subframe as that is just a replacement for the standard linking rod

Cheers folks. I'm still interested for future but just after posting this I've been offered a suretrac diff for the metro box so I'm gonna go that route for the time being.
