Regular Posts: 254 Location: Isle of Wight | I'm sure I posted this a while back but I'm still struggling... I've got braided hoses on the front brakes that are rubbing on the inside of the tyres. I think they're MGF hoses which are longer that metro fit (but were cheaper at the time). I don't have my shocks fitted yet as I need to get the strengthening plates welded in so the there's no where to route the hoses. All I've done for now is cabled tied some P clips to the shock bolt holes to try and allow the hoses enough movement for the range of steering but the hoses end up catching the tyres. Any ideas how to cure this please?

Regular Posts: 254 Location: Isle of Wight | Thanks Cooper 1019! Any idea where I might get said adaptors? I've done a quick search but all I could find was angled banjo fittings which word require me to cut my braided hoses to fit them and I don't fancy that option.

You should be able unfasten the old fitting and replace with new ones. If you really need to cut them wrap some tape around them and use a fibre cutting disc on a dremel. It really isn't difficult to make your own lines.

Regular Posts: 254 Location: Isle of Wight | Rovertaken - 10/5/2016 12:43 PM Yeah as above i used a small P clip fitted to the damper mounting bolt on the top arm. I'd do the same but as I've mentioned, I don't have shocks fitted yet so the bolt isn't fitted either. I've cable tied a P clip to the damper bolt hole but the hoses still catch the tyre. I can position the hose so that it's not rubbing but after a few full lock turns the hose doesn't return to how I positioned it and it starts to rub again.
