Today i decided to give my alloys and arches a good clean ready for the winter! Also my brakes squeek a little bit like metal on metal so wanted to inspect that.

Removed the front wheels and the arches and suspension unit were pretty dirty and the top arms were FULL of old grease "yak" so got the jet washer in there and removed all the crap, before re-greasing

Then i got round to washing the wheels.....the fronts were absolutely filthy, couldnt really tell they were supposed to be white and i cleaned them before i put them on a couple of months ago

Then i dropped the front down and got to work on the backs

Id noticed a knocking sound for months now and i wanted to let the suspension down and have a good look around but didnt get time today so checked everything was as it should be and got the all important jet washer in there

Again the radius arms had all old grease around the part nearer the middle of the car so blasted all that out and re-greased. Both sides are looking good now might change the arms sometime soonish but not really important yet

Wheels on the back were almost as bad as the fronts but not quite (as id swapped from front to back after i had my blow-out) took some before and after pics for you

To clean the wheels i just jet washed them, some shampoo in hot water and a sponge from under the sink after id dried them i gave them a coat of SRP and then finally a coat of Megs Carnuba Wax they dont half shine now and are smooooooth

Anyway thats about it just though id show you guys what iv been doing and that its a job thats worth doing big time

finished results.....next step will be sorting the swirls that damn G3 and G10 left

Very good!

If everyone did this there would be many less rusty metros around.
