so I bought a rover 75 and have been trying to sell my rover 400. currently I have priced it at £900 and I only get calls from time wasters calling and arranging a time and then now showing up. or people bidding me £450, with all the work done on the car by Danish standards £900 is cheap. Ideally if I had the space I would store it somewhere dry and then use it my self later when I need a good running car, but I don't have any more room. Annoying selling this car was all I wanted to say

Know what you mean.. Given up trying to sell cars, so I scrap them inside.

Trying to sell a mountain bike at the moment and being pissed about. Had a call earlier that I couldn't answer. Left me a voice mail.

Some guy playing fook saying I'm wasting his time by not answering, so he's got my address and he's coming around to 'twist' me up and give me a 'hiding'.

Sounded English (Londoner) Hey bruv.. etc.. so a long way to come for me

I was selling 2 mountain bikes for £200 each. A chap phoned me up and asked how much for the pair?
I told him £400

It doesn't sound like I would want to sell to such a person anyway, so not much of a loss.

I know I'm not the best seller on times, but some people just take the piss buying things.

I sold a roll cage on ebay last year in April to a guy in Scotland, and his oldman only picked it up yesterday as it goes.

Before he bought it, he messaged me a few times through gumtree about it. But as I had bids on it through ebay I let the auction run and removed it from Gumtree. He got all funny about it, txting me calling me all sorts etc.. But he ended up winning the auction on ebay then. Told him straight away I wont be selling it to him, but he got all 'nice' then, saying sorry etc, and messaged me now and again being all pally about it..

Best one was old G-Baby on here though. Still waiting for him to come sort me out

you'll have it all the time. I had stuff like this recently when giving things away for nothing via facebook, scumbags calling up getting all shirty as I hadnt replied to their texts within 5 minutes. I actually have a job and dont sit around collecting benefits all day you dicks so I cant answer my phone.Or better yet the w4nkers who want something for free but want you to drop it to their house for nothing too - had one particular cretin ask me to drop the item round, told them I couldnt fit the item in my car (it was a sofa) so then they asked if I would get someone I know to do it. How about you collect this FREE shit yourself?
In the end some guy turned up well prepped in a van with a few burly mates and had it with no drama - thats how buyers should always be

I recently bought a 1.8t engine via facebook. I arranged the courier to get it shipped to Germany on a pallet. The seller said he drained all fluids and strapped it on a pallet.

It did not arrive because he did not drain the oil, it was heavily leaking and the courier refused to deliver it. So I had to pick it up in the hub. The good thing: It was already the German hub. The bad thing: Still over 200 miles one way.
Can't take a day of at work and they are not open on saturdays. But friday night until 4 am...
So, what to do? Yes, rent a trailor and make this trip friday after work in my trusty Rover 114. When I checked the pallet, I had to discover, that the downpkpe was missing and that t here were still 2,75 l of oil in it.
Had to pay 75GBP for cleaning, the rent for the trailor, the petrol and have to source a downpipe, which will be hard in Germany.
Big fun. Now the guy is pissed, that I reported the case to paypal...

If you ask me you are the lucky one.
Your name was on the couriers paperwork and could have been liable for a lot more.
By the way, an engine easily fits in the back of a metty so no trailer needed

When I moved, I had two K series engines in the back of my metro, but this had to be loaded on the pallet with a forklift and it was very oily.
I just did not want to risk it...

It could have been even worse and I can really understand the courier.
At least I finally got the engine.

ding, thanks for the offer I'll PM you!

The only paypal offer is to send the engine back and they want me to pay for the shipping costs.
This was the last time I used paypal.
Their buyers protection is not worth the money...
