Dear all
I have a 1.8 GTi with plastic inlet manifold and MEMs 1.9 (big single connector to the ecu)
The car has been idle for several months - I got in - pressed the unlock button on the remote five times - car started straight away.
I let the car warm up for about 15 minutes - then turned off the key.
I left it for about five mins and when I went to re-start it the car fired up then died - I could then crank the engine - but it would not fire.
I re-did the remote press five times - but it still would not start.
I left it for about half an hour - and re-did the remote press five times and she started!
any ideas what it could be ?
