hey guys, after 10 year gap of having a metro GTi i have finally got back in the game with a Mk3 GTi fitted with a 160 VVC. MOT till May and then its off to the workshop for a restoration - shell needs work among other things!

Seen some amazing build threads on here, and am mega excited to get on and start my overhaul!!

Forum isnt very active any more but has loads of amazing info if you can use the search function.

Facebook group is more active but has....less knowledgeable people

Will update once the build starts - hoping to get it on the rolling road in the next few weeks before MOT is up. Get an idea of how much engine work may be needed to get back to 160hp as I'm sure some ponies will have escaped over the years! Living very rural and spend a lot of time on farms so this car will almost always be dirty!!! Might take it out to watch a local road rally tomorrow night
