Hi, these are scans from a couple of articles in What Car? March 1982. [Jack, you can add them to the site's file database or whatever if you wish]

First of all, Modified Metros, including Tickford and certain convertibles...

Then a 12000 mile review by What Car?

No John Cooper Metro? I'm sure I still have an ad at home (tucked in one of my Mini books)that I ripped out of a Motorsport magazine while I was waiting to see the School Dentist. Actually saw one in the flesh at a classic car show near Swindon 12/13 years ago. Spoke to the old chap who had owned it from new a few years ago - happened to get talking to him when he let me sit in his XK120 Jaguar and he had not long since sold his Cooper Metro - small world

That Janspeed car is so classic 80's with the spoked wheels (are they 100+?) and the side stripes.

thanks for the scan in. very great to read.

I do agree with the above. the Janspeed turbo is the one for me also

but isn't that metro article just "a bit" biased to read. they certainly are forgiving

If you ever come near Snekkersten / Elsinore ? let me know.

I can take you for a spin ( dry days only) .

This setup works SOOO sweet, but the reporter are right = its heavy on the fuel - ha ha.

Speaking of articles, just bought this = http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUSTIN-METRO-JANSPEED-TUNED-/310678851384?ssPageName=ADME:BS:GB:1123#ht_23wt_989

Thats the Black JanSpeed Turbo Metro, that was built for Nigel Mansell.

I had the brochure for the Moritz back when new, remember that it came with a padded ski jacket to match the padded nylon seats

Never thought I would, but I found a Metro Mortiz for sale.

Less than 14k kilometers from new, which explains the price tag.
