New user Posts: 16 Location: Plymouth | There are a few things I want to do styling wise, cheap visual upgrades etc, links to any specific products you recommend would be helpful as I have an amazing ability to turn the simplest google search into a mission that is only slightly easier than landing a man on the moon. I want to add some red bumper trim strip things to break up the black a bit, does anyone know what size trim tape is required? I am thinking of getting a stainless back box, universal jobby, this is only to improve the looks. I have found a few for the metro/r100 but the smallest tip I can find is 3", is this too large? These will be added to the clear repeaters, r100 rear lights and bee sting aerial already on route to make the quest look a little more modern. cheers Mike

New user Posts: 16 Location: Plymouth | As you cannot edit a post after 30 mins I have to reply rather than edit. After thinking about it, the stainless back box is a stupid idea, I will end up looking like a chaved up saxo with an overly loud bean can for an exhaust. I do however want something that looks better than the standard down swept back box, any ideas what tro box I can replace it with? Cheers again Mike

Green machine! Posts: 585 Location: Bromley, Kent | If your looking at changing the exhaust the gti exhaust is bit better still same design but bit sportier. Also look into getting a piper, Ashley, maniflow, power flow. Wouldn't recommend sportex there very loud. Could also look into gettin a custome one made up.. depending on money you wanna spend mate

New user Posts: 16 Location: Plymouth | Thanks for the info, shame about the gti one being the same design. Guess I will just have to get an after market one, at least I wont have to upgrade it when I give in to the inevitable engine swap Mike

New user Posts: 16 Location: Plymouth | Thats good news, do you happen to know the part number? They are fairly cheep on ebay but most say centre pipe. This is the only one that says back box. Do you know if its the correct one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-Metro-Gti-1-4L-90-95-Exhaust-Rear-Back-Box-An545-/300591916872?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item45fcaca748#ht_1977wt_1139 Thanks Mike Edited by mikerobinson83 4/9/2012 12:57 PM

New user Posts: 16 Location: Plymouth | Just so I am clear, I need to get both centre and back boxes from a gti? making sure to get a cat model and this should bolt onto my cat and use the existing mounting point etc. The centre part I believe I need is below, and the back box is in my previous comment, please correct me if I am wrong. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Klarius-Exhaust-Centre-Box-Rover-100-/110888747235?_trksid=p5197.m1997&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D16%26meid%3D1810103958332105919%26pid%3D100016%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D2%26#ht_2001wt_1271 Thanks for the help Mike.
