The only thing i can think it is so bad is that i think the head gasket had gone a long time before i got it because the thermostat was sabbotaged so the car would not warm up and hence not loose water, the water has been lying there eating the head away?
That's terrific, a sabbotage methode that saves the engine
Really the problem of a headgasketprob is that oil can enter the water-channel. If that happens the cooling ability is weakend until the point these is not enough cooling capcity and the engine heats up. There is no way, anyone can change the system in a way that an oil/water mixture can properly cool the engine.
If the engine never heated up, then your engine is 100% fine. You cought the gasket problem early before too much oil was spilled over into the water. |
