Veteran Posts: 309 Location: dumfries | Well the metro hasn't turned a wheel since my last post so i think it might be time to let it go. I just feel someone else could put the car to better use than i have. My problem has been putting a price on the car. I think i would let it go for about £5500. My problem is i can't see anyone paying that sort of money for it! Most of the money is in the engine and gearbox. So do i remove them and sell them separately and fit a zr 160 engine and box and look for £2500/3000 for the car? The problem with that would be the time to fit the engine to the standard i would be happy with i don't really have. Am i being realistic with the prices in my head? Any advice or guidance from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

Veteran Posts: 309 Location: dumfries | I think being realistic I'm going to have to put a ZR 160 engine and gearbox in it and sell the one thats in the car separately! I see the car every day when i leave for work and it reminds me how little spare time i have for anything now a days! Is £2500/3000 a more realistic price for people who might be interested?

Veteran Posts: 309 Location: dumfries | Makes sense. I sold my last two engines from the car years ago to caterham and lotus owners. Think thats the plan then. I will need to make time and get it sorted out!

Member Posts: 65 Location: Barnsley | Hence why i said its nothing compared to this.....i love the metro and if i had that amount of cash spare i would probably pay what he is asking. but im also restoring a mk2 and just bought an mk2 advantage so i dont think i would ever have the cash before someone else snaps it up!
