last night my car just cut out without warning and wont start again.
i went around a left hand corner at about 5mph and it all went dead.
the temp gauge that was just heating up,shot to the red....
and the ignition lights came on.i took the keys out of the ignition and the lights stayed on!!
no power atall on the car works but the dash lights stay on(oil light and battey light)
i took the fuses out of the engine bay so the lights went off.pluged them in one by one until power came on in my R200 consol but nothing else works.i have removed all fuses in engine bay as it drains power and now i have pushed it to a mates house till i can sort it.
any ideas are much appreciated as i have a car to pick up next week i hope.
cheers guys n gals.

Hi Craig

They are interchangeable. Best try and get a late as one as possible -R100.

Ive documented my 94 GTi vehicle wiring harness and one from the scrap 97 GSi.

All connectors are the same with same pin protocol - ok minor differences between the GTi
and GSi.

Hi Craig

With the problem you have got would still say fusebox - but difficult as would really
want to see car.

The fuse boxes are not too difficult to pull apart. If you recall Alex's fuse box was stuffed
and was burnt.

Must get the fusebox schematic as a sticky - unfortunately too large for good resolution
at 100k limit (ie if I post it) - think I will send it to "young Martin of Gloucester".
