This could be a new one for those of you with SPI. I was reading in the latest Retro Cars mag the other day and there is a feature on tuning the A+ Series.  Apparently a few Mini Cooper SPI owners are replacing their smaller throttle bodies to those off the early Rover 820 between D reg to about F or G.  Understandably curious I went into Halfords to look in the Haynes manual yesterday to see if is the same type as that fitted to the K Series and they are basically the same.

Cannot be too bad as the 2.0 M16 SPI produces about 130 BHP so on a 60 BHP 1.1 should see a nice little gain at least.

Apperently the version to look for is a 820 E or 820SEi.

Im planning on fitting one so will keep you posted on the results.

Dave
