| Hi.
I was collecting parts for a car that being realistic is unlikely to happen. Rather than sit on them forever I thought I would offer them to other members.
I have:
a set of 4 silver Metro Challenge wheels, no tyres. None of them have been kerbed, the paint is fair, they are from an ex-race car so have a few marks from general use but are in pretty good condition.
I have 2 turbo body kits:
Kit 1. 4 arches and front link/spoiler. Condition is average, some of the mounting studs are broken. I have seen repairs made by welding a stud to a steel disc then bonding that to the arch. This is what I was planning. If I remember there is a bit of repairable damage around the front spoiler holes where they meet the arches.
Kit 2. Condition is average. A set of 4 arches and front link/spoiler. This set also has a rear boot spoiler. Its an ex-race car set. I believe the mounting studs are cut and stainless allen head screws with cup washers are used to fit the kit from the outside. Honestly I don't really know - It was an Ebay purchase that I never opened since I did not have the car at the time!
I also have a reconditioned A+ gearbox (3.4 diff) and a set of straight cut droop gears. The box was reconditioned by a chap working in a mini specialist in Kent for his Dads mini but was never fitted. Its clean and fresh but I cant tell you any more than that. The drop gears are used but good condition and all within tolerances
OTHER PARTS:
Mk1 VDP dashboard moulding and instrument pod with rev counter.
Mk1 heater
Mk1 steering column with wheel, ignition barrel, wiper stalks etc. (I'm sure it has the key)
Mk1 dashboard support bar cut from the car.
The parts were intended to allow me to fit a MK1 dashboard into a later car, there are various rods, cables, fixings etc. (Maybe an odd thing to do but I prefer the early dash for its simplicity and I was trying to build a replica of my old car, sadly written off in a big crash)
I am looking to clear space and really want to sell every thing as a job lot. I am looking for ******** £1200 ******* for the lot. Big money maybe but add up the prices individually and you will get to around the same. I know what I spent, I want to cover my costs, not make a profit. It embarrasses me to have to say it but no silly offers. I don't need to sell, I am a hoarder and have the space so maybe I will build the car after all!!
This is my first post on Metropower and I am not a forum expert so I am not really sure how people are expected to get in touch but I guess that's what the private message thing is for!
I am based in Surrey, near J6 of M25. I can post but with the size of everything it will not be cheap, please don't make me do it!!
