I have a Rover 100 Knightsbridge and looking to convert it to either a 1.6 or 1.8. I can't seem to find a definative list of other Rover model's that I ccould buy and are plug and play for the engine. No new subframe etc just drop the new engine in or neastest possible. Any help would be appreciated.

You'll find solid cam 1.6 or 1.8 K-series engines in:

MGF, bubble shape Rover 216 or 218 , Rover 416, Lotus Elise and others.

You'll need MEMS 1.9 engine management for direct "drop&drive", if yours is a MPI.

MEMS3 engines and VVCs from MGF / TF, Mg ZR 120/160, 200vi, Rover 75, 45, ...
will also fit, but will require either a different, modified loom or need to be converted to run MEMS 1.9 ( in case of solid cam engines. Not possible for the VVCs).

You dont even need a donor car!
You need an engine, with manifolds.
And an ecu set.
