Subject: Stereo wires

has any one got a diagram or colour chat for which wire is which for the stereo, my iso connectors have been cut, so i need to wire my stereo in. only plug i have came with the stereo, so colours are all different the stereo end. but i have the chart for stereo end.


EDIT: sorry guys, ive found it, had to search all the way back to 2006

for anyone else that needs it


Speaker connections

Blue - rear passenger
Yellow - front passenger
Orange - front driver
Slate - rear driver


Power connections

Black - earth
Light Green - ign power
Purple - battery power
Red black - illumination

Got this of MG Rover

Orange/Black - Speaker A
Orange/White - Speaker A
Yellow/Black - Speaker B
Yellow/White - Speaker B

There should be another two pairs similar for the other two speakers too

Green - Switched Live
Purple - Permenant live
Black - Earth
Red/Black - Side light - illumination feed

rover use a thin white line on a colour to indicate positive and a thin black line for negative.

It looks white, but sposed to be pink...

If I may slightly edit...

I think someone at Rover had their thinking cap on when they came up with this... take note of the capital letters...

Speaker connections

bLue - rear Left
yeLLow - front Left
oRange - front Right
gRey - rear Right

Speaker +ve has a pink stripe, -ve a black stripe.

Power connections

black - earth (you should know by now)
Green - iGnition live
Purple - Permanent live
red black - illumination (its the only one left, not all cars have it)
