Yeah i love it, pulls well for a 1.3 too not far off my 1.4, its probably the best handling car ive driven but just needs some tlc.
The only problem with it is finding parts!

Nicee! Whats the Nova scene like these days? Is it like to Metro scene where lots of people go for original [GTi] sort of look or...? A Nice original looking GSi, SR or whatever hot model I'm sure would get lots of attention from randomers. Not often you see a looked after Nova!

Nova scene is about crap redtop conversions and GSi reps.

I'd keep it standard looking

Nice. Ive always had a soft spot for novas. My bro had a 1.4 Sr. Cammed it up and realised he had no lobe to run the fuel pump, ended up running a separate eclectic pump. Lol. Have fun with that timing gun
If I could find a clean nova id snap one up in a second, gsi, Sri, gte ftw!

Love it, I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen any Nova on the road let alone an SR.

Doesn't seam that long ago that they were everywhere. I'd say I see more metro's than Nova's

Its the same as the metro seen now. I hate the term but the 'chavvy' owners have moved on and more enthusiates have them now. The last nova made is 1993 so they are at least 20 years old now. I follow a totally mint white 1.2i to work most days which is only a few digits different in reg to my white metro both k***vad

Theres a house near by with a grey Nova GSi, Ital Van and reliant simitar rotting on the drive. I should knock and see if the GSi is forsale but worried if I do i'd buy all 3!
back in the day friends had novas, it was all about GSI replicas and facelifting mk1's!

TBh no holes for wiring into the doors and rivited door mechs and no dash illumination and how slow 1.0 and 1.2i was did give me more love for the metro when at 6th form in the car park as at the time I do and still think novas were very overated at the time as it was the car to have back in 2003/4.
Was taken out in a red top non turbo nova when I was 17 and loved it! Was a stock SR look on a G reg in red with burberry interior and the calibra wheels which im guessing were off the same car as the engine.

Driving past school now, seems to be low (cut springs?) chavy mk4 golfs covered in DC and dubway stickers in the 6form carparks!! Guessing a mk4 golf is a sub 1k motor these days so its to be expected!? Going offtopic now I know!

I prefered the early 2-tone Nova SR's like the ginger and black ones.

The missis' uncle has a redtop left hand drive nova that had those extended arches, its his old rally car but could never get to grips with lhd. Its on itb's with a quaife diff and about 5 sets of comp mo's. Right piece of kit.

Its been sat in the shed for the last 5 years doing fook all. He is selling / breaking it but he's too cant lazy to do it himself. Ie, he's waiting for me to do it. Such a nice car too.

Sorry for messing up your journal Sam. If you want I can find out how much he wants for a set of comps. Unsure if theyre 14" or 15" though.

Sprayed the bonnet today but not a very good job as it was done with rattle cans that were rubbish! oh well looks better than it did.
