Not good, hopefully you'll have it sorted soon.

How did you convert to hydrolic clutch? Specifically what did you do with the clutch pedal? Cheers

I've fitted an Optimum Balance reverse floor mounted pedal box and skipped the factory pedal box.

I'm sure there is a guide on how to do it on the web using an mgf pedal box and a metro pedal box

Took the engine out yesterday to investigate the loss of drive at mallory.

here is what I found...

Hmm that doesn't look good, also found bits of friction material.

here's whats left of my clutch

Luckily I had already ordered a new clutch kit, so fitted that and the engine is now sat back in the engine bay. I think I will fit a stop on the clutch pedal to may sure I don't over extend the release bearing.

Castle Combe on monday, I managed to get onto the AAA grid - me and 5-600 bhp turbo nutter bastards. Good test for the car and thats what I wanted and only cost £199 for 15 min qual, 15 min race and then a 15 lap race.

First 10 minutes of the second race, rolling start. The picture is a bit wobbly at the beginning but once we start racing it stays steady

will get the second part 9 minutes long up later

You could have been a bit closer at the start bud, you wanna be challenging at the first corner, not watchin them dissapear...
Only jokin, good work

I started the first race at the back on row 14, for the second race I started row 7 . The old adage in order to win first you have to finish comes to mind. Your second race grid position was based on your first race finishing position. I didn't finish last in the second race though - one of the m3's came in after me

watching motors tv last night and the car made it onto national tv . The AAA race I was in at castle combe, you can see me getting monstered by 300+ bhp scoobies/evos and skylines

Also heres some trackside footage from cadwell last weekend, where I lost the front brakes 2 laps from the end and then they set on fire.

After the little brake fire I had at cadwell, I have new m1166 pads, new brake duct for the side that caught on fire, new -3 hose and unions ordered to replace ready made hoses. All I need to do now is dig out a set of calipers. Not sure where all the brake fluid disappeared to before I stopped and the n/s brakes set on fire :-/

My new tyres have turned up for the race car, I've got some kumho v70a's 175/60/13. They feel grippier than the yokos, and have a wider tread area . Racing next weekend at silverstone in the birkett 6 hour relay on the gp cct

Think I've found out why all the brake fluid disappeared from brake reservoir. Pulled the brake off the car on friday and this is what I found.

This is whats left of the other pad

And this is the pads from the drivers side

I've also made up new front brake lines with braided hose from the bulkhead to the caliper on each side.

Cheers, good day apart from the rain at 1445ish. Yes the yellow 216 was with one of our other teams - it's an ex chanllenge car. I've got to say I'm not a fan of the gp cct though.

Two pics from cadwell which I picked up at the end of the year. First one is going into the mountain and the second one is where my brakes failed going into the mountain. You can see the grass flying in the air.
