if the fuel supply brass pipe is the same kind as the one on the non-turbo a-series it is basically a large diameter braketube with a hose clamped on each end. so if this is also the case for the turbo you can buy some of this and bend it into shape.

The pin hole appears to be about 2mm back from the aluminium casting of the carburetor on the fuel supply pipe. I need to figure out if the pipe is pressed in, or I need to some how repair it from the outside.

aaah. now I know which one you mean. no I don't think you can purchase this one. either you should drill the old one out and make one your self to press in again or you could try soldering/welding the hole shut (what ever the correct name is for when you use a gas and oxygen set for welding)

Thankyou for your thoughts. I hadn't thought about drilling it out. I'll try to solder it first and get some pictures up soon.

Update,

So I didn't try to solder the fuel pipe. I just cut the pipe off and drilled and tapped in a brass barb type fitting seems to have worked a treat. While I was in there, I replaced the very sad choke seals.

(I will post more pics later as I managed to delete all the recent ones off my phone.)

On the weekend of the 1st of October the family and I took the Turbo for her maiden outing. To an event called Brits at the Beach. The journey to the beach was magic, 160ish km that included so twisty coastal road there to an in general wet event. The rear suspension was still a bit harsh but none the less a very enjoyable trip.

Of the 360+ cars in attendance there were no other Metro's at all.
So we hung out with the Minis.

The blue Mini belongs to my father, the yellow one is mine also. At our humble accommodation, in Whangamata, New Zealand.

We woke up on Sunday morning and found that the drivers side front was sitting on it's stops. So, of course, there only thing to do was level the rest of them out for the final day and the trip home.

Agreed, wifey even enjoys the Metro. (she did confess that before we sold our previous Turbo in the '00s. In her final drive in it, right before the people arrived to take it away, she got it up to 165kph!)
There are also some Muppets still out there, that don't really appreciate how rare these cars are.

I have recently sorted out the leaky suspension can, and am just getting ready to lower her properly.

Here are some picks of a recent trip with our Mini brothers to Raglan beach, New Zealand. Famous for it's left hand break, and black sand. Amongst other things.

Can someone please tell/show me, which decals I am missing? i.e. from what I can see on the web - the MG and TURBO is missing from both sides in Red.

 photo 20161024_161913.jpg

And the tail gate a grey strip to just below the boot release handle assembly. With MG to the far left and TURBO to the far right, in red also.( I have these decals but need to confirm the grey strip)

I think it depends on the year of the car. I believe the early mk2's (1985-1986 or so) had a grey strip on the bottom of the sides between the wheels with red turbo lettering and a grey bottom on the tailgate with mg metro and turbo in red lettering. I believe the later ones just had turbo written in lettering on the sides, the front lip of the bonnet and on the tailgate.

Christmas day here in NZ already.....So...Meri Kirihimete to you!

No real updates at the moment. Just a cheeky wee video shot by my daughter, of my main sponsor, on a Christmas eve drive in the Tro. Hamilton, New Zealand.

Santa left a 90's piece of audio excellence, in need of some love, for me to tidy up. If it sounds any good I'll just leave it - otherwise I'm considering a diaphragm type dummy setup.
We'll see what happens.....

The family and I went for a drive with the local Vintage and Classic Car Club on Sunday. Whilst we are well into our summer her in NZ,it was wet, but mild in temperature.

The Metro has developed a few issues that will need attention in the near future....such as the high beam lights have stopped working - I suspect a switch fault at this stage due to the fact that the high beam flash still operates.
One of the pins which secures the lever fir the sunroof has disappeared.
The stereo keeps on loosing is memory.
And the front resonator of the exhaust system has started making and odd tingling noise which is very noticeable at idle. This may well be deleted from said system.

Below Arapuni Dam, NZ.
