What thickness MDF would you recommend for a false floor kinda thing ?

Depends how much weight is going on top of it and how much drilling into it

I'd say at least 10mm

Think you'll find you can't get 10mm.. but you can get 12mm.

a.k.a. 19mm

However closest you can get is 18mm..

Sorry that was a tad vauge!. Im planning on carpeting the boot area, then a sheet of mdf with the sub screwed to it and the rear of the sub going into the spare wheel well so its all flush

The cars all sripped out but i cant live without some bass so im trying to keep the weight down as much as possible.
