Hello again,
Another Newbie's question. I've been told that the standard clutch from a mk2 416 (GCK589AF IIRC) holds up well in vvc metros on the r65 metro gearbox. Has any had one any experience or got any views on this?

Ive been told to just use a genuine 1.6 clutch kit from rover and they are fine

theyre not ideal, but they are good enough.

a metro weighs less, and because it has smaller wheels has shorter gearing so its easier to accelerate the car than slip the clutch.

so yeah, its a decent upgrade for cars still using the r65 type gearbox

I think that's the way forward then.
