Hello everyone im new to metro power I have a Brg metro gti (J plate) I was also the last owner of the storm grey gti vvc (j878 uop) on the first page of the site anyway I look forward to speaking to you all.

Hello and welcome!

Was it a side impact on the grey one then?
Had a bad rear myself in a Mk2, and seen pics of other rears, they stand up to it pretty damn well!
Curiosity means I'd like to see a pic of a side impact!?

Yeah straight into the side of me between the wheels impact went back to front I was turning into my sons nursery an the woman tryed to undertake me. To be fair to the car tho she took it like a pro cuz obviously the impact was passenger side were my son was strapped in n the mrs aswell n they were both fine just sore. That shell was solid as they come tho to be fair. Yeah il get some pics up for you all soon as I work out how aha I warn you tho shes not pretty

Also had a 1.4 si L plate my first ever tro - betty the metty I had a rear ender in her on stourbridge ring road completly took the fron off a 03 plate punto it was sh***ed I just jacked my arches of the back tyres n away we went tuff little machines in my opinion

Those oddly chunky bits did a damn fine job of keeping the door on the outside!
Door and rear quarter skins are totaled...
but looks to be minimal intrusion into the cabin!?
Quite impressed with that!

What car hit it?

As I said took it like a true pro it obly protruded into the cab about 6 inches or so not bad condsidering I was nearly at a standstill probly 2-3 mph n she smacked me at around 30 -35. It was 06 plate fiesta finese, right sh*t box the wheel was hanging off n allsorts

Did you manage to get any of the parts off it and where did it end up?

How you doing jim you okay mate? Yeah everyone was okay I was absolutly gutted though just had the 160 dropped in yeah I took the lot out only stuff left on was spoiler ( I forgot it) dash and stering wheel. Seats and door cards went straigh intomy green 1 but I may have list the skirts and old gti seat asI moved house an didnt realise I left them till yesterday but yeah took almost everything out as insurance were crushing it !!! Half expecting greif about ir sooner or later but I just couldnt let them do it. Mark said youv got a lovley red gti now r there pics on here of it mate he said its well tidy

Yeah I'm good thanks, enjoying my new GTi, will be starting a journal once I've had chance to take some decent photos of it Glad you got some of the parts off it, let me know if you want to sell the half leathers
