It just clocked up 211k on the M5 today no problem,
But alas thats it we have no room for the car and the insurance is up this weekend, I suppose we will have to sc&!p can't bring my self to say it.

Unless anyone one to do the next 39k to take it to 250k !!!

if Its free I may be able to find some space for a bit if that bit of the M5 was next to Gloucester!
theres always ebay,

Get rid of any old rubbish on there. Someone will deffonatly have it i'm sure.

Go on get some pictures up! I want it in the 1.0 section as we have a massive lack on them and thats an acheivement I reckon!

My mates 1275 Auto has 210 on the clock and he took it off the road 7 years ago to rebuild it.

It's not all good though it was on its 3rd gearbox! And he had a head stud snap but he just took the head off and replaced the stud, didnt even use a new gasket as he said it was the same head going back on.

He is planning a rebuild with a 1.8 K and MG badges but then he is planing a lot of things, his reg is MGT ---X.

Keep us informed on that!! Sounds good, a mk1 1.8 16v on a X plate!

The K series wont fit inside the A series engine bay. The length of the mk2 had to be reconsidered to accomodate the much larger K series engines. But if he can pull it off then good luck to him.

As for the A series with 211k on the clock and no need for any new mechanics is an extraordinary achievement.

Put it in a museum
That is unbelievable. My head gasket has just went at 65k , though its partly my own fault because i sat for over 30mins waiting on my sister with the engine running , tho the temp gauage was fine
Ill have to clock up a few more miles this 2006 eh?

you can't scrap it. I'm a mini man and you'll get 150 to 200 quid for the engine (it will be a base for a bored out re-build, so mileage is irrellevant) you will get £100 for your front disk setup and 4pots from the mini boys on ebay. Non-vented are rarer and more desirable as no spacers will be needed at the rear of a mini. Therefore £200 can be got for these.
Take these bits off, then chop it up!

One of the first problems i had with my 100 was engine over heating, me not realising it and head gasket went.
