Regular Posts: 179 Location: Sittingbourne, Kent | Hi everyone I've now bought my 3rd Tro. 1.1 Nightfire 4 speed gearbox, which requires a lot of work. I sold my last tro regrettably due to funds but now I'm back in the gang again! This car does require a bit of attention, which I am for now just going to do the odd jobs to get it through its mot, so I have a rolling project. That and the fact my mum can't moan its in the way on the front garden! First things first, get the windscreen sorted! The person I bought the car off of drove this car with a windscreen that's completely shattered and not secure with the rubber, you may see this in on of the pictures I upload. Next, it will be trying to get it started, again the person I bought it off said when you drive it, it cuts out. But judging on the Ht leads, they look shot, so I will be performing a service on it, as that is probably what it needs. Lastly, I shall get it raised up a bit as the person I bought it off of said that the guy before him just drained all the fluid out of it, and didn't do a proper job of using the machine! But have no fear R100_VVC is here! yes thanks to Sean in advance for going to pump my car up for me. Also thank you to itsonlyme, as this week I pick up the windscreen, hopefully I can get the car ready for POL, fingers crossed as I have still not been yet, and would still like to meet all you metro enthusiasts and get some good ideas! Hope you enjoy my journal, I will try and up date as much as I can! Edited by Tobys 10/3/2015 2:02 PM

After cleaning up the windscreen, which I may have to do another day, but at least the old one is out! But now it's just waiting on me mate to help me fit the windscreen. Oh I've forgot to mention, thanks Tony for the hello kitty air freshener! How did you know I love hello kitty?! Lol Edited by Tobys 13/3/2015 3:57 PM

MP Admin Posts: 17870 Location: Gloucester | good luck with the project, looks like this ones had a hard life. Also if its a carb model, they often have flat spots if the carb itself needs a service. Also the cat is prone to falling apart and partically blocking the exhaust which may cause running issues.
