Are you the one selling it, or have you just bought it?

Think I'd start looking in the carb / fuel delivery area.
Is it just being left to idle...
or have you tried to hold the revs to keep it going?
How long since it last ran?

yea it runs as it should for about 10 secs and dies ive checked the fuel lift pump and thats ok the bottom of the carb was full of fresh fuel with no crap in the bottom and ran a temp tank to check it wasnt the fuel and all seemed good the dizzy didnt look to good but surly if it was that it wouldnt run fine for the 10 secs then cut out would it..? also it does it on idle and when i hold the revs when it starts for the 10 secs i can rev it fully with no probs

That looks really cool in a weird kind of way, what are your plans for it? Would make a pretty funky camper if a little cramped

my guess would be to check the fuel delivery system (carb, pump, hoses etc.). but also renew the ignition components as they are really cheap (plugs, leads, coil, cap and rotor should be very easy to change your self). I don't know if yours has points or electronic dizzy but if it has points they probably need adjustment, but that is not so easy if you don't know how to do it.
