Cheers, tis nice to know someone out there actually gives a toss lol, been getting proper down about everything as a few of the people I know have been like "well it'll never be on the road so who cares" which kinda de-moralises you gradually...

Passenger side is 95% done now

Just got to cut out the hole for the chrome bumper indicator, rewire the headlight setup to splice the sidelight to both the headlight and chrome bumper setup.

Did some more on this yesterday and today, cut the drivers side end of sill out, worse than the passenger side by far, no castle rail or inner sill remaining so have re-made them.

Also decided to ditch the chrome strips down the side, cue drilling out rivets and welding the old holes up, looks better imho, contemplating painting the entire car beige because imho it looks smarter.

Had enough of it but its done, had so many issues with getting the lights working, finally got it all done and its finally out the garage...

First time out of the garage since "completion"

Few pictures of it sat on the drive -

Tidied the garage up a bit, and then parked her back up

Hidden indicators ftw, might not pass the MOT, but frankly I dont care as im not putting any more shit on the front end (numberplate can fook off but its needed)

The dream -

Well, doubt anyone will care but been doing a fair bit of work to the car, decided it should be a drift car, fook it, why not, its RWD after all.

Welded the diff, fitted front lowering springs, a bucket seat and 3pt harness (still need to fit the other seat) and my old 200sx wheels on the front -

Looked like this -

Had major issues, misfiring and hesitation and shit, new alternator fixed the charging issue, also fitted new thermostat and waterpump and v-belt aswell, rebuilt the carbs, when I had them off noticed its got a ported and polished head, very reasonable job by the looks of it well (all the right areas taken down rather than just making the ports shiny) and it now goes a hell of alot better!

Then fitted these today -

will get a picture tomorrow of how it now sits, much better than the arse high before look tho.

Booked up for santa pod DWYB on the 7th, should be entertaining.

Agree, looks really nice and smooth, the colour suits it aswell.
Its good that your going to use it as a drift slag and not leave it parked up or driven on the roads slowly like the rest of them.

They're about a billion dollars. Even centre-lock minilites are expensive, and then you need to change hubs and rear axle.

Looking good Fred, those are some rather large lowering blocks.

We had a mgf project at work with center lock wires on it.. came in one day and some one had nicked 3 of the nuts and butcherd the 4th... presume its because they were brass and its worth money..
I liked the poo brown and white paint job...

Centrelocks also wont be going on this, because when youve got to change rear tyres every couple of laps, its generally quicker and safer to have 4 nuts you can gun up rather than one you beat with a hammer

Cheers btw, theyre 2", bit overkill and may order some 1.5" or 1" ones as it has royally slammed the back...

A photo of how it looks with the back lower -

Gradually the enginebay looks tidier and tidier -

My absolutely bargainlicious Toyo T1R's on my old wheels -

Have ordered some 15x8 wheels for it, hoping they arrive sometime in the near future but for now going to have to run the cross-spokes on the front and randoms on the back.

Failed miserably today, got to my parents and was fedup with not even being able to walk thru the garage, so decided to tidy the garage before painting the car fully, but to get me motivated I did a bit on the wing.

Still satin, but its a fairly dark shade of green.

After tidying the garage decided to do the wheels anthracite (red and green just don't mix, this aint no christmas tree!)

Before -

After -

Then did this, should give me a headstart for tomorrow -

Tomorrow I want to get it fully painted by 12, and get the cross-spokes on the front and maybe my compomotive cross spokes on the back...

Well got it painted today, took longer then planned as it was raining on/off and couldnt put my gazeebo up by myself, had it all done by 3 though.

Really need to sort the rear end out and fit my sebring valance, but as anyone who has removed an MGB rear bumper will know, mines not standard

Basically, I need to cut out alot of the rear valance (read, all of it) and start again, as whoever did the rubber bumper removal has beaten seven shades of crap out of the lowers of the rear wings to give them the weird shape they have now, so I'm contemplating buying some rear arch's and using them to A) sort out the rear bumper situ B) box arches
