Member Posts: 67 | Decided to drain and flush my coolant as it probably hasn't been done since 1993. What a pig! The head on the lower rad hose jubilee clip just crumbled to dust and I had to remove the rad to rip it off with mole grips. My question is - has anyone replaced the previous green/blue antifreeze with red OAT? I have filled my cooling system with water to allowit to flush for a week and I well flushed the rad when it was out. I've got a couple of litres of conc red oat in the shed and would like to use it for the refil. It is ethylene glycol based and conforms to the same BS as in Haynes. Anyone done this before?

Went out, flushed it again and put the OAT in - let's see what happens....
