my 1989 A-metro (3-door) has openable rear-side windows.

these cars were produced with fixed windows too.

the openable windows has a metal rim around its edge, which
can be removed.

is the size of a openable and a fixed window the same (glass
size), so can an openable window be transferred to a fixed one
by changing the type of rubber gasket??

(my openable one(s) are leaking and keep leaking :-(

It's in england, so for any of us to post you glass will be difficult.

as far as I know, the a and k series "body tub" is identical, so yes, K series non-opening rear windows will fit.

You would have to replace your opening rear quarters and seal with a fixed glass and seal. Rear windows, and their seals, from any Metro/100 would fit. They just push in.

MGTurbo: do you actually know if the sizes of these glass panels are identical?

When not: chasing for a R-Metro/100 series Rover with fixed sidequarters will be helpfull, because you can find these cars -now and then- on scrapheaps over here..
Very UNlike the A-metro

I cannot say for definite as I haven't actually tried. The rear quarters are the same on the A and K series, so it should be a straight swap.
