What small cars (i.e. hothatchs etc?) are turbo'ed as standard...

From what i can findtheres a distinct lack of them :|

What i mean is without engine convs (i.e. 200 bubble turbo.)

I mean older then that mate, not brand new cars...

Looking into something that i may have next... as i wont be driving the 200 much longer

Thanks do my indecisive sister ive got to lend her my 200 for a year or so, just hope to hell she doesnt stack it as im the one who paid for it!

So yea, i'll be driving the old 825 (as my dads now got his rx8) which i dont mind, but it sure as hell aint fun to drive (automatics suck for power delivery!)

Glanza or Charade gtti.
You are 18 yeah? Lancia Delta and Pulsar GTiR are brilliant but the insurance would be astronomical plus buying a good one aint cheap!

Eddbmxdude - 24/4/2008 3:23 PM daihatsu charade gtti

had 1 of these great fun but very hard to find now though mine was running 120+bhp and was quite fast

great fun with a 1/ltr 3 cylinder 12 valve turbo engine

also had a 1.3 turbo fiat uno, but nothing like the charade gtti

how about something which is turbo charged, with an intercooler, 4 wheel drive, 4/5 doors, only 39k on the clock and only £2000?

I had a 20v coupe and that was a great car, amazing 5 pot sound as well! Really cheap now as well, shame that the insurance bracket is ridiculously high, and they're so tempramental.

I've had mine for a couple of months now, no complaints apart from i need more power

You can get about 170-180bhp without spending much money (manifold decat and cat back, induction, hks actuator set to 1 bar, FCD and RRFPR) and you can run upto 210-220 safely on standard internals (need a piggyback to run safely)

Paid 3.5k for mine with a nice spec...and loving the air con

Will be 19 before its time to move on.

Basically, im going to be using the 825 for roughly a year (i may be nearing 20 when it comes to moving on)

But i just really want a forced induction car...

Quite liking hte idea of the 620ti or a 820ti

Off the top of my head there just werent that many smaller turbo cars, as a 620ti isnt really a small car (im looking for 200 size roughly, or smaller!)

Getting a bit long in the tooth now and good examples are becoming increasingly scarce, but for sheer bang for buck (bang probably being quite apt in many cases...) I don't think you can beat a Renault 5 GT Turbo.

For something that's running a pretty basic 1400cc motor that's not even fuel injected, the performance is superb.

I'm currently loving the idea of Phase 1 C or D-plater with the rubber, rather than colour-coded, kit.

I have been looking at them, there are a few ones on ebay that dont need much/any work for very little money, but what are they like for everyday use? (bearing in mind i did 30k+ in the metro in just over a year.

To be fair, i could buy an R5GTT and do a partial resto on it by the time it comes to do the swap... quite tempting really.

the obvious is missed, metro turbo:0
Others
Maestro turbo,
Montego turbo,
all the 80s renaults, 5, 9,11, 21
80s fords,
80s Mitubisi's seem to all have a turbo version aswell.

THe 600ti is a good bet, I'm pleased with mine, but it does drink the juice compaired to a k-series but from what I gather is better than a 2.0vtec, VW 20VT etc if you comapir it simular power cars. Also far cheaper due to old man image But you get less attension if your in the wrong place at the wrong time.
