Clean all the plastics, seat frames, window seals etc with a mild solution (around 10:1) of APC (Daisy All Purpose Cleaner from Tesco is good).
You're probably going to need to get the seats, door cards and carpets cleaned with decent upholstery cleaner and extracted via a wet vac.
As for the headlining, wet vac might work but be careful as its bloody thin and it may either rip or sag.
Hope that helps

Location: Coventry/West Midlands | cheers pandy, thats a tesco cleaning product on my list for today, i have 3 bottles of 1001 upholsery cleaner & a couple of cans of fabric stain removers, as you said pandy, the headlining is the hard part! & typically its the worst part :O/ i will persevere though!
it looks cleaner in the pics than in the flesh!
i'm going to pick up some stardrops as this was recommended to me by a valeter for getting serious grime off the outside of the car as mine is really filthy but i know underneath the grime is a nice looking metro, i could do with some advice on how to clean the paintwork as usually i just wash my motor & polish it but i'd like to make the best of this metro i can!
heres a pic of the car in question, i have just placed the wheels in the pic next to the car, they're not bolted on!!!
the wheels i plan to paint silver
i have in my posession a bottle of turtle wax big orange, farclea g3, t-cut, max wax polish, a meguires clay bar, tyre paint, & various other bits n pieces, i have no proper car wax as i'm unsure which to buy
