Maestro turbo

THe 600ti is a good bet, I'm pleased with mine, but it does drink the juice compaired to a k-series but from what I gather is better than a 2.0vtec, VW 20VT etc if you comapir it simular power cars. Also far cheaper due to old man image But you get less attension if your in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Well I was looking into the maestro's and I really do like them, will have to see whats available nearer the time etc.

I do like the 600ti's aswell, really do, i was going to get one before i saw the insurance group, hopefully when im 20 I may be able to insure one.

For the mean time, to curb my turbo craving im going to strap the a-series turbo kit ive got to the midget, see if it blows up or not.

Well, the engine needs to be rebuilt anyway, so why not give it a decent send off!

Why not buy the metro turbo block aswell, then it will last longer! Plus no chocolate insump gearbox?
trouble with the maestro turbo, they go for good money now, a red one went for 600 with no mot! The tourque steer is fun but for a daily driver 30k? miles might get annoying.
also I do think the 600ti will go up in value in a few years time too. don't buy as an investment but at the moment for the money the are bargins. Although it has its good points, I do wish the 600ti looked different to the rest of the 600 bar the alloys!

Why spend more money on a turbo lump when that only suffices to do around 8psi tops.

and the fact theyre a+ when my midget is an original A-series also is why im not to keen, as it means i cant use my aldon race distributor.

I intend on getting another 1275 to build up as a low compression turbo lump, but 4 or 5 psi isnt exactly going to implode my stock a-series engine.

The reason i dont care how long it lasts is the fact that the engines getting changed anyway,if it lasts 200 miles, then thats how long it lasts on stock internals! after all the midget is only a fun car at the moment...

I like the fact the 600ti looks almost the same, gives it a nice bit of sleeper value to it.

Toyota starlet or glanza it has to be in my opinion. Escort RS turbos seem fast when your in them but from factory they were only slightly quicker than a metro gti. A glanza will do 0-60 in under 7 seconds standard and theres potential to get another 50bhp out of them with out any stupid amounts of work. Its lightweight like a metro too.

I shall be getting a Glanza as a my next car purely as abit of weekend fun, cheap to get if you manage to find a decent import too

That, and the fact the RWD and FWD A series blocks are quite different, they need line boring to be converted. RWD A series blocks are worth good money

not old but my daily is a 2008 renault Frog TCE its a 1149cc turbo, can be remapped to 130+bhp dependant on how much boost you can run and what fuel you use. quite nice cars to drive but coilovers are expensive lol.

from factory using E10 bio fuel they have 110hp on the overboost function inbuilt and around 105 on normal fuel.
