Ive got a gti with a 1800 bottom end but standard topend using standard gti ecu etc.

The car ticks over quite lumpy and drives ok upto around 3k to 4k then it splutters and drives like poo.

If i disconnect the lamber sensor it still has the same idle but runs poo below 4k and good after

also you can put your foot flat to the floor and nothing happens for a while then it picks up.

Ive changed the lamber and the throttle pos sensor but it has made no differance

has anyone got any ideas?

cheers
tony

Timing was the first thing i'd say too. Leads/plugs etc?
