New user Posts: 5 | Hello, I´m Iker, from the Basque Country, in the north of Spain. I have a rover 114Gti 16v mk3 SPI since 2010. Here it´s an strange car, and I think that mine it´s the only one in my region. When I was a child I was in love with a red 114Gti which I finally get more than 15 years later, just the same I saw hundreds of times near my home! It´s not my first Rover, some years ago I had a Rover 220GSI 16v. Actually I have the project to convert de SPI in MPI, but I have problems to find MPI engines, some years ago there where a lot of 200 series, but not actually. I´ll try uploading some pictures soon. It´s a long time since I don´t "speak" english, I hope to be understandable Now I´m going to the technical area, I have some questions about the MPI conversion

Regular Posts: 241 Location: Germany | Welcome to metropower! This summer my girlfriend and I drove all the way down to Portugal from Germany with my 114 and visited a friend in Donostia on the way. Really liked this town and region! I converted my SPI to MPI. You don't need a complete engine! Is all bolt on parts, but the engine has to be removed to change the flywheel... New user Posts: 6 | hi!! I am a new user, my name is Joanes also from the basque country very suprissed of this post,I would never imagine to see a 114 from basque country posted on here, I also have a red 114 gti,and also thought mine was the only one remaining as havent seen any in years... mine is identical to that one, turns 24 in two days as it is from the 26dec of 91 from navarra. I am restoring it as it has some problems and no mot from 2011. I also have another one(white), but unfortunately has documentation problems so i will use it for spares. If you need anything tell me, if you are converting it to mpi and you need any part, maybe can help you. I will probably try to get a vvc to mine but there are not many, so I am taking it with time. Joanes.
