It's a dark grey metallic, original colour of the 100. I think that it contrasts really well against the red bump strips.

I also have a white SPi GTi (1990) that I show at local EYTCC events although its MOT time with big rear subframe welding required, so she is off into a renovation firm next weekend. Worth the expense though.

Sounds like a good project mate. Get some current photos, bit of history and start a journal in the journal section with progress of the resto as it goes. GTis are rare now.
