Well i have done a fair few jobs on my little tro so far.
But there is one that keeps bugging me an needs sorting.

ARCHES!

They are at a stage of replacement.
What can i do/what is best for me to do.

You can buy replacement arches, Best to cut out the old and weld new ones in place otherwise the tin worm will keep coming back.

I'm looking for arches too for a 3 door r100 but most are not listed for a 1997 can someone confirm early ones will fit ??

The actual arch bit was the same on ALL Metros!
The panels are obviously different between 3dr and 5dr models.
'Think' some of the earlier Mk1/2 O/S panels had a slight recess at the start of the filler flap.
I don't like to use the full height panel unless it really needed, trim them down to a suitable point...
that way you can cut out slightly higher if/when they need doing again.
Properly repairing the lip on the inner arch section is a must for longevity too!

Thankyou Guys for all the help!!

I do have a more recent post with my lastest idea that may be a bit cheaper and means i dont have to dust off the welder!!
