Veteran Posts: 335 Location: York, tis Cold Up North! | Hi To me if clutch arm does not move in to operate clutch then sounds like you have assembled it wrong and something within is stopping it moving. Are you sure you assembled, centered and torqued it up all right? I have a Mk11 Haines manual at work if you need anything copying etc. MG

No Yes they have two large nuts on the end of the clutch plunger that adjusts how far in you can push the plunger when you push the clutch. but not the other adjustment screw like the old type clutch has. Expert Posts: 4458 Location: Jelling, Denmark | by the way. if the clutch arm doesn't move, try detaching the cable and pulling the clutch arm back and forth, it is supposed to move freely. if the arm and plunger doesn't move freely remove the clutch cover. it really doesn't take long time and can be done without removing the engine, only the front engine mount and the battery and battery tray. 10-15 minutes and you have the cover in your hand. then remove then clutch arm and plunger, clean it all (careful with the release bearing), regrease all components, assemble it again. if you want to remove the plunger, you have to remove the two adjustment nuts and when reassembling you have to adjust them which is not that hard.

Tired no luck on any cable used perhaps you could take some pictures of it mounted and not working and post them here? when all is connected in what way does the clutch arm not move? is the pedal rock hard or is it too soft?
